How To Find Hope, Purpose And Joy In A World Of Despair!

The Bible brings us so many messages of hope. God sent his son, so that we may be saved and have eternal life. This is the brightest hope of all. But do you fully understand and appreciate what the means?
When we think of hope, we think about fantasies and events that we want to happen. For the most part hope today is viewed as wishful thinking. Noah Websters New International Dictionary describes hope as follows: A desire of some good, accompanied with an expectation of obtaining it, or a belief that it is obtainable; pleasing expectancy. In other words hope is a belief grounded in faith and based upon the promises of God.
Families go through many difficult times. It may be the loss of a job, the loss of a loved in death, the loss of good health of a family member, the loss of your home due to a natural disaster or any number of negative events. It would be so easy to get bitter when things do not work out as planned or when we are faced with some of lifes harsh tragedies.
However, it is at these times that it is most important to trust in God. Our hope in God is what gives us the strength to push on, even when we feel we have nothing left. We do this because we know that God has promised that there is a new heaven and a new earth that he is creating, and that all these things we are experiencing now will soon pass away and everything will become new!
Can you imagine war, crime, sickness, death, pollution, poverty, hunger, homeless persons, corruption, and so many other negative things that we see today being a thing of the past? Would you like to live in a world where those distressing events no longer exist? If you are among those who long for a better world, then the bibles message contains good news for you!

Every thing that is recorded in the bible was actually written for three reasons. First, to provide accurate knowledge about God. Second, to instruct us on what God requires of us, and third, to give us hope. The bible is truly a message of hope based on promises from the God who cannot lie. Its the greatest treasure that you can discover in this modern age. It will give you hope, purpose and joy in a world that is full of despair.
