How To Do The Xbox 360 2 Red Light Fix

Knowing how to do an Xbox 360 2 red light fix is just one part of the equation.

But according to gaming enthusiasts and experts, the Xbox 360 2 red light fix can be simply fixed and prevented, because usually the cause is nothing more than overheating. To solve this, the following steps are commonly recommended:

* Give your gaming console some air to breathe! You can either do this by putting it in an open space, or placing it near a cooling fan.

* Give it time to cool down ... and be patient! The Xbox is a cool big man's toy; unfortunately, one of the glitches is that it is not designed to withstand long gaming hours. And by that I mean playing straight for 12-16 hours. I'm sure you know that the makers of this brilliant machine have overlooked the possibility that people like you and me would be dead-set in finishing one game at a time - no matter how long it takes! Give the unit several hours to rest and then try turning it on again. Normally, this solves the problem.

There are also some preventive measures you would need to take, to ensure that you don't have t go through another Xbox 360 2 red light fix again:

1. Consider the console's positioning. - make sure it's always located in an open space with no obstruction from the air coming in and going out.

2. Never place it near hot items. - don't worry, your girlfriend doesn't count. What does count are items such as radiators, stoves, and other things prone to overheating such as DVD players.

3. Check it regularly. - Just like me, I know you don't want to be disturbed when you're in the middle of a "fight", or gaining momentum in a "battle", but it would pay huge dividends to have a set time to check if the fans are working and if the console is overheating. If it does, you may need to consider getting a cooling system.

4. Never place it in a cold environment! - Just because you don't want it to overheat, doesn't mean that you're going to place it outdoors in the cold weather, or worse... in the freezer (bigger problems await those who dare to try). The key word here is "cool", not "cold".
