How To Create A Bridal Shower Scrapbook

By:

A Bridal Shower Scrapbook will be a treasured keepsake for the bride, her family and friends. With a little planning, and attention to details the day of the event, you will have a scrap book that is filled with photos and mementos that capture all the beauty and fun of this very special occasion.

Plan for the Bridal Shower

You want this scrap book to represent all the fun, excitement, and special moments of the day. So use this list to help you plan your "scrapbook activities." It may even help if you assign specific tasks to friends so that everything is captured and no single person has to worry about all the details!

At the Bridal Shower

Make sure those assigned tasks are reminded of them... re-assign if someone is unable to help you or forgot!. You want to capture all the special moments so take a few minutes to make sure everything and everyone is ready.

- Sample of the materials used for any Games. You might even want to include the Game pieces used by the Bride and/ or Bridal Party.
- Gift List Samples of the decorations - napkins, banners, treat cups, tablecloth, etc. If it's not feasible to have actual items, make sure you take pictures of them!
- If possible, give the guests decorated note cards and ask them to jot down a few thoughts for the Bride and Groom.
- Posed Photo Shots
---- The decorated room (before any guests arrive!)
---- The bride and/ or her Bridal Party getting ready/ arriving
---- Group shot of the Bridal Party at the Shower
---- Pictures of the Bride with her special guests (Grandma, honored friend, etc)
- Candid Photo Shots
---- Guests arriving
---- Bride, Bridal Party and Guests playing games
---- Guests around the buffet table/ cake table
---- Opening gifts
---- Saying Good Bye

Prepare to Make the Bridal Shower Scrapbook

If the bride used special papers for her invitations, ask for any extra for the scrap book layouts. Also ask for any coordinating card stock, ribbon and other embellishments. If this is a surprise gift, use your own materials in the color theme of the shower or of the wedding. Make sure you include these mementos:

- Shower Invitation
- Guest List
- Menu
- Items used for decorating (or pictures of the decorations)
- Sample of her Thank You notes
- Posed and Candid photos from the photographer and from family and guests
- Note Cards with messages from Bridal Shower guests

Now you have all the mementos and pictures... you're ready to assemble her Bridal Shower Scrapbook! The size and style of the scrap book will depend on the materials you have... use your best judgment! Whatever you choose, this Bridal Scrapbook will be a treasured keepsake for the bride and her family for many years to come!
