If you like the idea of doing powerfully mesmerizing up close magic tricks for your friends, then this article is for you. This is the classic levitation trick, and it requires no props, and a minimum of practice. The only requirement is that you talk a good game before doing this simple yet powerful trick.

The technique should go just like this. You are hanging out with some pals, either at a pub or a celebration. You somehow steer the discussion around to levitation. Possibly you might ask your friends if levitation is perhaps feasible. You say you've realized how to do it, but you have not attempted it yet, as you are too scared of the wicked implications. They obviously ask to see you try it, you take a number of steps back, and magically levitate off the ground a couple inches. You fall back onto the ground, and tremble your head and hands, trying to eliminate the bad spirits that helped to raise you up, possibly even asking yourself why you did what you did.

This is the technique. You stand with your close friends in a relatively pretty tiny location just away to your left. If you were to draw an imaginary cone from where you are standing to the area where they are standing, make certain the cone is smaller than 45 degrees. Holding your hands out for balance, lift yourself up using only your right foot, up as high as you can on your toes. Keep your left foot even to the ground. By placing yourself so that they are unable to see your right foot, you will appear to have levitated off the floor.

It's crucial to keep them diverted as much as achievable, and only "levitate" for a couple of seconds. Speak about how horrifying it is, or how you experienced an wicked presence while you were being levitated. As soon as you arrive back lower, quickly come back to your party, and refer back to the place where you levitated as if it some dim wicked position that you don't even wish to look at. This is a technique where you need to do some pre-trick escalation, rapidly do the strategy, and then do some post-trick cover up. If you basically say "Hey, watch me levitate," and then levitate and stand there holding out for applause, they'll quickly grow suspicious. Folks like talking about scary things, and if you can build up a "story" around this, so much the better.

A single phrase of caution. Hundreds of levitation movies can be found on the Internet that you can view. These are very carefully spliced together using different crowd responses and many diverse camera angles. Because you cannot cut and change in real life, you have to make sure you do this speedily, and encircle the strategy itself with stories of mystery and the supernatural.

One way to do this is to tell everyone how scared you are of really attempting this, and make everyone in your group promise to purchase you a coke if you are successful. Once you conclude, quickly tell them how exhausted you are and how unpleasant it was to bust the laws of physics like that. Needless to say, if they keep asking you how you really did this, tell them you need an additional beer first. Have some fun!
