First things first: set a smart goal. If it not realistic and achievable it would most likely not be reached. In order to have a more practicable plan to clean the house, divide the task into three zones. This way cleaning the house would be more doable. Lets see how to go about cleaning your house. For today, just do the kitchen and the bathrooms. Leave the bedrooms and the living room for tomorrow.
Kitchen
Do not let the dishes pile up. If you have kids, tell them to do the dishes as one of their daily chores. If you have a dishwasher, use it. It can make your life much easier.
Every time you leave the kitchen wipe the countertops. This would prevent the kitchen from getting all messed up.
Same principle applies to the sink. Every time you use it, wipe the inside using a sponge.
You might not think so but the same rule applies to microwave and other ovens. Wipe them after the use immediately.
Bathroom
Get your family members to clean the bath tub or shower every time they use it. Of course you would be required to do the same. This habit can help immensely.
To clean a bathroom thoroughly. Spray the bathtub and the bathroom floor with a cleaner and leave it on for fifteen minutes.
During this time you can use soapy water to clean the mirror, the sink and the counter top.
Now it is time that you turn back to the floors and the tub and do the scrubbing.
Use a shower head or hand shower to rinse the lather off. With a wiper, clear all the water.
Use gloves and a toilet brush as you clean the area under the rim.
Bedroom
You can start from making the bed.
If the bedspread and cushions are tidily made up, it would give a tidy look to the whole room.
Tips for maintaining a clean room include correcting your habit of leaving the clothes or shoes on the floor. Instead keep the dirty clothes in a laundry basket and shoes in a cabinet.
The key tip is to stay organized in your routine life. It prevents getting a panic attack when you see a messed up room or packed up kitchen; and when you cannot find the scarf you need more than anything.
