Most children love playing in their back yard. If you have one or more such children, outdoor wooden playsets can make great additions to the world in which they live. All slides need to have well designed features for safety, such as handlebars on the ladder. With these features, the child is less likely to be injured on the set. Ladders should also be skid free and strong. Look for the manufacturer's safety certificate before purchasing the set.

*Cost. The cost of the outdoor wooden playsets will depend on many factors. For example, a playset that is designed for 3-5 children that includes swings, an eight foot slide and ladders with grab handles can often be found in the $400 range. Larger sets, with playhouses, two slides and several swings can cost several thousand dollars. In addition, the quality of the materials used for the playset can vastly affect the cost of the set.
