It is a little more cost effective because if greater medical attention is required, there are more on-site options. However, it is still limited compared to nursing home medical treatment.

If your loved one is unable to care for themselves and it's a severe or degenerative condition, it may be wise to choose a nursing home. It may not be the most pleasant consideration but overall good nursing homes will be able to provide the best care possible. They will have a daily and nightly staff that will provide care and safety. When you reach this point in the decision process be sure you choose carefully. Do your research and select out of the nursing homes the one you feel most comfortable sending your loved one to.
