Pears are very popular fruits, it has a great taste and is said to be related to apples. It also has numerous health benefits. The fruit contains potassium, fiber, vitamin B and C and carbohydrates. Pears are good for blood pressure, inflammation, energy, colon health and constipation. Due to these and several other benefits, planting a pear tree will prove worthwhile in the end. If you are planning to plant a pear tree choose one that is at least one year old.

If you are planting more than one at a time they must be at least 20 feet from each other. If you want the most advantageous fruit production you should plant at least two trees. It is best to do the planting in the spring. This is because they are still dormant during this time. When you are planting the trees, ensure that the hole is at least four times the size of the root ball. The next step is to put the tree in the whole, ensuring that the root ball is on a level plain with the ground. Put water in the ground so that the root ball can absorb it. It is best to stake the young tree for the first two years because during this time the root system is usually shallow.
