As a growing number of us decide to revolt against the tide of beige food and ingredients offered by the supermarkets, the opportunities to buy ingredients online of an altogether superior quality are not only being discovered by more and more people, but the opportunities themselves are become more numerous and more diverse.

The first tip is simple - it's keep it simple. That's it. There's really no need for you to start practising saying all the ingredients in French, there's no need to wear onions round your neck when you cook and you don't even have to wear a beret. Roast potatoes are the obvious use for this ingredient, but in fact there is so much that can be done with it.

Whether frying or roasting vegetables, adding in goose fat can make a massive difference, and the best part is that despite the name 'fat' it's actually very healthy. Goose fat has a very low proportion of saturated fatty acids, especially compared to other animal fats such as butter and lard. Using goose fat instead of butter or lard will not only make your meals healthier, but they'll taste better than ever too.
