How To Build Your Own Garden Walling

For those of us who are avid gardeners, we take a lot of time to make our garden space attractive. If you want to do the same I am going to teach you how to build your own gaden walling. After your wall is up it serves three purposes, to keep animals out and to keep the earth in your space. They also look nice in your back yard.

Generally speaking, most walls are made of brick or block with stucco on top. Although this can be costly it does look very nice when it is completed. You need to hire someone who builds walls for a living to ensure that it is built correctly. Most walls like this require cleaning now and then.

If you are a traditionalist, perhaps a nice looking picket fence is the look that you want. The pickets come in three sizes and they are tall, small and medium. You could choose all three if you want an eclectic look. This fence is very easy to install. Since the fence is pickets have an open space, then putting in some plastic sheeting will keep the earth in place.

For those who live in out in the country, and want a wall to match that environment. Railroad ties make great looking walls for your garden space. You will need bolts to put the ties together. You choose how high and long the wall to be. You will receive many compliments on your new wall.

Another choice of wall would be bushes. There are a few different types of bushes you could choose, the two that are hardy are boxwood and holly. I suggest going to a plant nursery to purchase your new bushes. You can buy starter plants or fully grown and mature bushes. It is a good idea to do a little research to find out how to care for these type of plants.

At this point you have an idea of what kind of wall that is right for you. You will have to put some sweat equity into your project. The reward is when you are finished and admiring the way it turns out in the end. Having a wall up will save your garden from being ruined, and it makes great curb appeal.
