So youd like to learn the secret on how to get rich fast. Congratulations! Ill let you know shortly. However, be warned that Im not going to harp on about investing or making $4000 a day doing surveys on Google. I could tell you a few ways to make money and lots of it, but I bet you that hardly anyone would do anything about it. The mechanics behind making money is only a tiny part of actually becoming successful. This is due to one factor. Probably the largest factor most people arent rich or successful. The Incorrect Mindset.

Whats the Incorrect Mindset?

Having sporadic delusions that being rich or famous someday would be fantastic, but not doing a single thing towards achieving it. Why? Because they have severe limiting beliefs about themselves. Does this situation ring any bells?

Please dont think Im being harsh, its just a reality I was confronted with a few years ago. Would you agree that every action you take begins with an impulse or idea. Most of which are to gain pleasure or avoid pain. 99% of people walk through this life reacting to the desires of avoiding pain. They put off assignments, and dont pay bills until the pain of not taking action outweighs the pain of doing it. This is not the way to take control of your life. You have to focus on your deepest desires and take action towards attaining your goals. basically you have to have the frame of mind that pleasure will be gained from taking action. Its just a matter of a shift in focus. Read that sentence again.

If you shift your focus and are able to associate pleasure with taking action you begin to take it immediately. That is the correct mindset.

Making your dreams or goals definite will also help to maintain that new determination. Put up pictures of what you want. Think about it often. Better still picture yourself already in position of it and things will fall into place. As long as you are also taking action! The idea of attracting things into your life from the universe is great, but sitting at home wishing about it will not bring you money. It might bring over debt collectors, but no money will magically fly in through a window. You have to take action.

Now you have the frame of mind you need to begin educating yourself. Grab books about how to make money, or find a course on how to do it. Learn as many ways as you can and when one come along that sparks your interest go for it!

Be open to new ideas and dont be too proud to take advice. However, only listen to people who have proven results in what you want to succeed in. Bob the postman might be an old friend, and he probably knows someone who lost a whole bunch on the stock market, but should you listen to him about investing? No! Listen to someone who is a millionaire from investing!

At school we were taught not to copy. Im telling you now, if you find someone whos a success using a method you can do too, copy your guts out!

You will of course hit blocks and sometimes fail. Its natural and actually a big part of success. Its just the universe letting you know that what youre doing needs a little tweaking or a change of direction. Dont let it get you down! If your still alive you can still make it right!

Be aware of what is working in your life and what isnt. Dont make a to-do list make a not-to-do list. What activities are taking up time and effort which arent moving you towards your goal. An example of this is checking facebook every 15mins at work. Check it once or twice a day if you really have to and move on, the internet is a useful tool, but is such an attention sucker!

Change your story. If you are constantly making excuses and being held back by the past, let it go now. Everyone is guilty of this at some stage. But be aware that it is not helping you. In fact its very possible that its the reason you feel stuck or stagnant. Every problem takes energy to solve and energy to worry about. Worrying doesnt make it go away, so in the end it is just sucking up your positivity!

Dont be a perfectionist. Its the hallmark of a failure. Good today is better than great tomorrow, because tomorrow never comes!

Lastly, and possibly the most important, is something every single successful person shares. They just got going. Like the Nike ad says, Just Do It!
