How To Become A Master At Parenting

By:

WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Being a new parent can be a daunting experience. Make no bones about it can be downright hard when you know what is right for your kids but they always think they know best. We have all been there as kids right, remember when you were a teenager and full of angst and rebellion and you thought you knew best. It is funny to look back at it now, but this is exactly what your kids feel no wand putting yourself in their shoes can earn trust from them and make you appear cool to them which earns respect. Getting on the right parenting path will lead you to self-comfort most especially in those difficult situations that you are most likely to face in the future with your kids. Parenting skills are something that you must become skilled at and can take more negotiation skills than a high level diplomat will need.

HERE ARE THE SECRETS TO BECOMING A MASTER PARENT

To find out answers in solving your parenting issues you have to talk to another parent who has actually gone through that same situation as you have beforehand. There are forums that are available online nowadays and some are equipped with online chat options. There is no such thing as impossible in searching for others who are experienced in those kinds of problems. There are many websites about parenting that you can find nearly all types of situation possible. Try to look at how they ended their issues and what their solution was and try to see if that may actually work for you as well.

PARENTING IS NOT A 9-5 JOB

With parenting you are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Even if your kids are not with you and at school or with their friends you are still on duty as you can easily get a phone call for example telling you your child got in trouble at school or had some issues with their friends from your friends mother. You have to be equipped to handle anything and everything that gets thrown at you, just like a mixed martial artist for example. Most parents want nothing but the best for their children, and in giving all they have to their kids can at times feel unappreciated and overworked, which is normal, but the reward is seeing your children grow into wonderful people, and that is all any parent wants.

TEACH YOUR KIDS SELF-RELIANCE

It is very important that your children are independent. They need to learn how to deal with the challenges of life by them self. A kids independence is a important part for them to learn how to earn what they want and be empowered to make their own true happiness. If your child earns everything they have, rather than have it handed to then on a platter, they will appreciate it so more when they grow up as they will have earned it themselves. By giving your children all of these materialistic things, you are interfering with your kids development unconsciously. True independence is the only precious gift that you as a parent can actually give to your child and one they will thank you for when they grow up and understand this, I know I do now for the independence my parents gave me, maybe not so when I was a teenager but that story is for another day.

GET MORE COMPLIANCE FROM YOUR KIDS

One things kids hate is being told what to do. Do not boss them around or nag them. Instead ask them to do it in a manner that shows them you trust them. For example if you would like them to empty the garbage bins do not yell at them or hassle them to take the bins out. Your child will feel exactly as you would if your boss was yelling at you and bossing you around. Instead ask them in this manner in a calm voice" Would you please take the bins out before or after school today". To solve your kids defiant behavior, you should not take the bait in a power struggle with your oppositional child. Treating your kids like this is how you become a master at the art of parenting.

SOME COMMON CHILD AND PARENT ISSUES

Most parents often think that they know better and having that mind set is the biggest part of the problem because parents actually do not always know what is better for their child. Do you attend parent evenings? A child may not always mention this meeting so you should be an active parent within your kids school. This is a great way to stay current on your kids progress at school. There is also no use in going back down your memory lane (your own school days) if you want to try to help your child with their homework, you will just probably find yourself unable to remember the learning material and can harm your kids progress since all of the teaching methods have changed since your were last in school.
Also, there should be a timeout for issues that have been brought up earlier and the issues should be sorted out immediately so that there is no tension in the air and there is peace in the house. This will also give your kids valuable lessons in how to quickly deal with issues with others.

MAKE LONG LASTING MEMORIES WITH QUALITY FAMILY TIME.

You do not need to perform a major makeover in starting to increase your quality time that you and your family spend together. Parenting works best when you keep it simple. One great tip is to eat dinner together when you can, there is nothing like quality family dinner time and I remember these times fondly.
Family game nights either with board games or even with video games that are educational can be a great way to bond, and for your kids to learn, remember if your kids are having fun then they will learn much easier.

Following all these tips and pointers will ensure that you have a quality relationship built on trust with your kids, and will guarantee a lifetime of happy memories for your children of their childhood and help them become great parents too. You will also get memories to cherish of your kids childhood and in the process become a master at the art of parenting.
