There is one universal question that is on everyone's mind when starting their MLM business: How do I make this network marketing business of mine a success? Every beginner has this, or a similar question, in their head when starting a network marketing business; few ever get a good, honest answer.

Picturing yourself working in the comfort of your home, making money easily, and not punching a time clock is exciting. In the real world, however, there is considerable work needed to get from there to here in multi-level marketing.

Success is always preceded by work; not necessarily hard work but work nevertheless. Multi-level marketing demands time, effort and a little working capital.

The cold truth is most network marketers fail. Statistics show that 97% to 99% of all people who begin an MLM business fail.

If you are just starting your career or are struggling and afraid of becoming another failure statistic, you are lucky. What you are about to learn, assuming you apply it, will definitely help you make your home multi-level marketing business the success you want it to be.

OK, what exactly is required? What do you need to do to succeed in this network marketing business?The first thing you must understand is that there is no magical way to succeed at any thing. Just as in every area of your life, success comes from acquiring the necessary skills. Once you develop these skills, you can move from the 97% failure group to the 3% winners group.

One very important point to always remember: If you do what most people are doing, you can expect the results that most people are getting. You do not have to radically different. You just have to not follow the 97% crowd.

Today must be the day you choose to do what winners do. Today must be the day you decide to put in the necessary effort and learn how to succeed in the MLM industry.

To succeed you must focus on the five things that most people ignore.

1. You must work at your business. The work in network marketing means work. It isnt nethobby marketing or netplay marketing it is network marketing.

In everything we attempt in life the results we get are directly proportional to the work we put forth. A strong, committed effort produces strong results. A weak, uncommitted effort produces weak results. It is no different in the network marketing industry.

To have more than the average person, you must put forth more than the average effort. It is that simple.

2. You must be a person who is constantly growing and learning. The limit to how big your business can grow is directly related to the knowledge you apply to it. In a sense, your business is your student. The student cannot learn what the teacher does not know.

3. You must develop your business skills. To be successful in MLM, you must learn and be constantly improving your business skills.

You have to know how to find potential prospects, to manage your working time, to communicate with people, and effective marketing. These are all skills that you can learn: If youll commit to doing so.

You can if you just think you can.

4. You must be willing to invest the time and the money that is needed. Both time and money are needed for personal development and for developing your business skills. This is particularly important if you are completely new to any form of marketing.

5. You must be willing to never give up. Most non-winners are non-winner because when they hit a speed bump they quit. A speed bumps must be just a speed bumps, not an excuse to quit. Success in life has to be earned.

The truth is, it is very hard to fail at MLM. That stated, it is extremely easy to give up on you dream. If you are committed and determined, you will succeed.

The truth is, multi-level marketing isnt easy, but if you put forth the effort you will be well rewarded.

In conclusion, if you will determinedly commit to these five steps you will build a solid MLM business. You will be proud to say you are a network marketer.
