The world we live in is not good at producing mature and responsible men. We drag out the process of growing up to the point where there are people wandering around in men's bodies who are very much boys inside.

There are several things you can do to prevent or avoid as much of these negative effects as possible.

If you are a young man then you need to escape the umbrella of your parents as quickly as possible. Society keeps you as a boy by making you dependent well after you are physically a man. This is through drawn out schooling where you cannot become economically self sufficient.

Becoming self sufficient with your finances is the key to becoming a man and breaking out from any kind of dependency which keeps you as a child. In indigenous societies and amongst animals a child becomes an adult when they are physically mature. This is because they can contribute to their society as adult and are not reliant. The equivalent in our society is economic self sufficiency.

Many men miss out on a domestic education because their mother did everything for them. Cooking, cleaning and other domestic duties are key parts of becoming a function adult and masculine man. Man-boys who are stuck between worlds live as men but their domestic situation is one of boys. Take charge of this.

Get a job that enhances your masculinity. Something that gives you independence, an ability to take charge and make positive change. If you are stuck in an emasculating job where you are working to somebody else's tune you will feel average and eventually depressed.

Take charge in your relationships. Men grow up these days inundated with media that tells them women want sensitive caring men. Women don't know what they want. What comes out of their mouths and what their primal desires reflect are two very different things. Women want real men. Masculine men. Not another girlfriend with a penis.

Don't be afraid to be the assertive dominant male that you want to be in your relationship. Don't allow society to tell you that you need to be another other than that.
