How To Be A Life Coach To Your Friends

By:

One concern I hear from coaches just starting out is that they can’t be a life coach to their friends. So many coaches want to attract clients, but they think they have to go way out there into the boonies, do a song and dance and maybe that will get them some coaching clients.

They don’t realize that all the clients they could ever need are right under their nose. If you’re a good life coach, then you will be one of the top ten trusted people in the lives of every single one of your clients. That means close friendships and relationships. So one of the best places to start out with are the people that you are most connected with and have the best relationships with.

These are the people that would buy from you just because it was you, almost no matter what you are selling. These are the people that you truly want to make a difference for and that you know you could help.

But you may have some fear saying that you don’t want to ruin any relationships or make things weird between you. As long as you’re not being selfish and in it for you, you’re not doing it for the money, you won’t ruin any relationships. If you speak to your friends, you begin making a difference for them, you begin to transform their lives, and they sense your intent to serve them, it would be such a natural extension for them to enroll in coaching with you. It just makes sense. And it would serve you both.

The “I can’t coach my friends” is usually a branch of the belief “I can’t find any coaching clients.” Well, many coaches often have these two beliefs combined as a way to cover up the people that would actually coach with them to begin with. But you can soon discover that there are lots of available coaching clients who would pay you that you already know. And that’s exciting!

It’s exciting to know that you already have potential clients available right now and that you can make a huge difference with the people you know best. It’s a great situation for all parties involved.
