How To Avoid Network Marketing Failure

By:

Why is it that people join network marketing business opportunities? Most people join this industry to make serious money. Yet more than 90% quit within the first 3 months of joining their MLM company.

The reason they're quitting is because they are not making any money... and in fact most are losing money. The MLM network marketing industry is not a get rich quick solution.

It takes time to build a successful business, any successful business. But if you successfully build your network marketing business, you have the potential to make some serious money.

Reason For High Network Marketing Failure Rate

The main reason people fail in MLM is because they're anxious to start making a profit, so they start throwing money at it. The problem with that kind of broad or random approach is that they aren't spending money wisely, so they don't see results.

Another reason is because when they see their expenses increasing with no results, they begin to doubt themselves. At this point most people cut their losses and move on... usually to another company using the same tactics... and getting the same results.

This is how network marketing gets a bad reputation. People keep doing the same things, getting the same results, and blame it on the industry rather than on their marketing strategy (or lack of).

So how can you avoid failure? We have already established that the reason people join this industry is to make money. When people find ways to make money up front, during the prospecting process, this starts the flow of income into the business.

Develop Your Marketing Strategy

The point we're trying to make is that you need to develop a marketing strategy that will produce income for your business. This strategy must create a steady flow of income and bring targeted leads into your sales pipeline.

Creating a reason for prospects to come to you does this. They come to you because you offer them something of value. It could be as simple as giving them a free report or a series of email drips.

You can easily put together a report on any aspect of the network marketing business. Simply go through articles you've written and bundle them together into a report. This report doesn't need to be encyclopedia length. Just a few pages will do.

Another reason for network marketing failure is because some distributors market "systems." They tell you they have the "no fail" system. What they don't tell you is that the majority of their income comes from marketing these systems to prospects, rather than sponsoring distributors into their MLM opportunity.

So you buy and sell a system and maybe you make some money, but you're not growing your downline. The benefit of network marketing is the leverage... being paid on the results of others. When you're selling systems, you don't have any leverage.

Many opportunities have been created through technology and the internet. The internet enables you to market to your target audience in larger volumes easily and inexpensively.

The key is to be selective about which internet marketing tools you use as well as the specific market you're targeting. Because there are so many free and inexpensive tools, it's not necessary to spend lots of money for marketing your business.

When people join a network marketing company and exhaust their first lead source, their business begins to slow down. The challenge is figuring out how to generate more leads... a steady flow of leads. This is a key success factor that many people in MLM don't understand and causes failure.
