The months of May and June are the most crucial months for a student. Admission season gets in full swing during these months. Students who have cleared their 10+2 exams are usually stressed out with the admission procedure as most them have no idea about how to apply or what documents are required.Unlike, earlier times, these days many universities have introduced different vocational and professional courses for the under graduate students. BBA courses have gained immense popularity in India, since the last few years. More and more commerce students are getting enrolled in BBA colleges in India.

BBA is a three years graduation program that gives a kick start to the corporate career of young graduates. Thus, BBA in India has become the first choice of many under graduatestudents.

After the economic reforms in the decade of 90s, there has been a constant growth in the industrial as well as commercial activities in India. This has led many foreign companies and even domestic companies to make huge investments in various sectors of Indian economy. These companies need qualified management executives. This has resulted into a rush towards Graduation colleges offering Bachelor of Business administration (BBA). Many people have even started considering foreign universities for BBA.

The admission procedure for BBA colleges is quite simple. There are no entrance exams or any other competitive exams like CAT, MAT or CET for this program, unlike for MBA program, as this course is just a stepping stone that will help the students to take further steps towards their success in the corporate world.
First of all, the students who want to do their graduation in business management should make a detailed study of different BBA colleges; their affiliations with a UGC recognized university, etc. They should also be very careful while filling up the application form; as any mistake in the form can create problems for them in the future. Documents stating their educational qualifications should be properly arranged, so that it can be presented immediately to the college authority when it is demanded.

Different BBA colleges have their own criterion for selection. These colleges prepare a merit list for the students. Those who have got good scores in their 12th Examination are enrolled immediately.In the same manner, second and third merit lists are prepared, under graduates who have scored average percentage in their 10+2 exams can get admission on the basis subsequent merit lists.

It is recommended that students score at least 50% in their 12th board exams to get enrolled in a reputed BBA college in India.

For a student who is planning to pursue his/her BBA course from some foreign university, it is necessary for them to meet fulfill some requirements related to education and visa. They are required to meet minimum educational qualification that is equivalent to5 UK GCE 'O' levels. They are also needed to have proficiency in writing and speaking English. The minimum requirement for a UK student visa is 15 hours per week of daytime study.

As it is said No pains, no gains, any path leading to success in never a bed roses. Although, the criteria for enrolment in BBA colleges are not tough as compared to those for MBA, still it is important for a class 12th commerce student to work hard and get good score to secure a seat in some prestigious university .
