If you are lucky, you will get called in for an interview. Make sure that you thank the people that you interviewed with for taking the time to consider you for the position. You should do this in person at the interview, and then send a thank you letter through mail or email. You can follow up after the interview with a phone call.

It is important that you are honest when you are applying for jobs, whether you apply in person, online, or through the mail. If you tell them not to contact past employers, leave gaps in your employment record, refuse to allow drug tests or criminal background checks, or don't have references or proof that you are legally allowed to work, this is likely to disqualify you for jobs.
