How To Adjust Make Up Before A Wedding Portrait?

By:

When the bride and the bridegroom start planning for their wedding portraits and for the wedding day itself, they should attempt to be as natural and unconcerned as possible. A smart and trendy haircut and of course a affable pose are recommended for the groom.

He neither has to, nor should, switch from his regular bow ties to something 'different' for the wedding day. Then on, if he plans to wear, a suit that he already owns, but hasn't worn for some time; he should check for any signs of wear, or alteration, much in time.

Even the bride, she should not try on a 'fashionable' hairdo or color, for her wedding or the portrait. The portrait can look better if the both the bride and the groom are dressed in sync with one another.

If the bridegroom decides on a boutonniere, he should make sure to not go for the one which is larger than the outer peak of his lapel. And if the bride chooses to use a long corsage with her outfit, she should go in for a garment with a covered shoulder, to pin it.

For the wedding portrait and even for the wedding itself, the bride should only wear make-up that she usually wears. Stick to the known and avoid experiments with lipstick and blush.

The bride should, in fact, try to keep a natural, minimum eye make-up look. The reason for this is that it tends to look much harsher in the camera, under the strong studio lights.

Using a nice brush, outline the cheekbone and use a neutral color around the edges of the cheek line. Applying a mild color hue is the best way to pep up the chin.

A definite color should highlight the lips and should also follow the actual lip line. Using a light colored pressed powder over the face and the neck is a great way to make the facial color look natural.

Highlighting of the face may be required to achieve a better look for the photographs. Some of the assistants are also willing to make suggestion, regarding your make up; instead of simply applying what you pick.

A natural grow can be achieved by the groom using tricks advised by the photographer. When posing for portraits try using a cologne stick on your face and forehead and pat dry it with a tissue to look charming and suave.
