How Slowing Down Will Help You Shed Pounds In A Hurry

By:

As the years go by, it seems like everyone is more and more rushed in their every day life. I'm no different, I get frustrated with the microwave when it's nuking my food in just 2 minutes! This could also be the reason that so many of us suffer from weight gain. Changing a few habits and slowing down a bit can help you shed pounds fast.

You're probably accustomed to making quick meals and eating them in your car or trying to get done fast when sitting at the table. And believe me, you're not alone. But when you eat in a hurry, I doubt you're chewing your food as well as you should be.

The digestive process starts as soon as you put food in your mouth. When you swallow food practically whole, it's up to your stomach and intestines to pull the nutrients that it can out of the food, and it's not very efficient.

Instead of hurrying yourself so much, take your time when you're eating and chew each bite 20 times or so. Doing so will help your body get much more out of the food you eat, and help it break down the food so less is stored as fat.

Not to mention that you'll be able to taste and actually enjoy your food much more. This is one habit that is easy to change if you put a little energy into it, and it will help your body become healthier.

The key to weight loss and healthy living is to slowly make positive changes that become life habits, not trying to do it all at once with a fad diet or diet pills.
