You get this traffic because alexa has recognised your website as one that has good authoritative information thereby ranking you highly. The search engines see this thereby ranking you also highly for the main keywords for your particular website.

In turn you end up getting massive traffic to your website. The alexa ranking for my website http://www.Imrisinternetmarketing.Com is 216,854 as at the time of writing this article. What this means is that there are only 216,854 websites globally that have more traffic than my website. Remember now that this is GLOBALLY. You can not begin to imagine the amount of traffic I get daily. I am getting an average of 1000 website visitors daily just by using this technique.
