How Much Fish Oil Should I Take To Improve My Health?

By:

When I talk to my personal fitness clients about the benefits of omega 3 fatty acids, many of them have the same question. They all ask me: "How much fish oil should I take"? I was always wondering why they are asking this question, but then I realize that they are asking this for couple of reasons.

First, these people have never taken any nutritional supplement and simply want to know how to take it right. Because everybody wants to experience a great health.

Second, they have taken some vitamins before without experiencing any improvement in their wellness at all. And that is why they want to know if there is any specific amount of fish oils they need to digest in order to feel the changes.

As I was thinking about what would be the best way to answer the question, I had to go online and do some research about medical conditions and how fish oils helps to reduce the symptoms.

After couple hours reading all I could about it online I was ready to face my clients with my final answer to the question and I am going to share it here with you as well.

The Big Question: How Much Fish Oil Should I Take?

My Final Answer: It all depends on your specific health condition and well-being.

And it is so true. You see as a humans we are very unique from each other. Some people want to take omega 3 fish oils to improve their memory and some to alleviate a specific heart conditions like cholesterol for example.

So if you want to lower the bad cholesterol, you need to ingest about 3000mg each day. If you have asthma, the best amount of fish oils you need is also about 3000mg.

But if you are healthy and want to take this supplement as a prevention and for improving your current state of wellness, 1000mg will be enough.

Also it is best to ingest these supplements in soft gels that get absorbed by the body faster than a regular pills that have a lot of chemical fillers in them. I have heard that when you take the regular pills that contains the fillers, your body only gets about 10% of the amount written on the supplement box. Now when you have a quality soft-gel pill, the bioavailability raises up to 80%, which is already big improvement.

This means that you can get much more from your supplementation program when using a soft-gel instead of a regular hard pills.
