How Long Will It Take A Courier To Ship My Package?

By:

One of the most common questions couriers face every day is, "How long is this delivery going to take." This is a fair question, but the truth is that it would be impossible for a Chicago messenger service to provide any sort of blanket answer to the question. In the real world of shipping, the truth is that the delivery time is often more up to the customer than anyone else. It is the customer who decides what type of service to offer, and it is this that typically determines how long any given delivery is going to take.

A regular courier service with no special options to create a faster delivery could take several days to make a shipment. When couriers use this type of option they always try to maximize the load on vehicles so that every square inch of a vehicle is making them profit. In most cases though, this type of economy service is not going to be used by a company in a hurry to ship anything.

If you're looking for faster shipping options though, there are many of them out there. A perfect example is something called next day shipping. When you use this service as offered by most courier companies, the courier will pick your package sometime around noon or shortly before or after on the day that you request a delivery. Then, they can complete the delivery before the following day is over.

Same day shipping is the next step up from next day shipping, and provides almost anyone with a shipping solution that is more than fast enough to meet their needs. To get same day shipping, you usually have to place your request with your courier early in the morning. Once you do though, they will pick up your package within an hour or so, and have the delivery completed by the end of the day. There are even companies now that can offer this across the entire country to major cities.

You can actually ship all the way across the country in hours instead of days if you're willing to use an NFO courier. If you want to know how quickly an NFO courier can ship your goods, just look at the estimates for a commercial flight between your city and the one that you're delivering to. That will tell you how quickly you can have a delivery made.
