Lightning is very dangerous because it can cause fires like electrical fires, wildfires, start trees in your yard on fire, or any fire for that matter. If a lightning bolt hits a power line, it can cause it to fall over, explode, shoot out sparks everywhere, or shoot electrical currents though the power line. It can cause fires if it hits anything like cars, trees, houses, or fields if it is really dry. If it hits a power line, it is not good to touch anything metal because it can shock you due to the electrical currents flowing through it. These currents can hurt you and do damage to your body if it is a really strong current.

Have you ever seen what lightning can do to a tree? It can split it in half or knock it down because it is so powerful, and it will start it on fire when it hits. If the tree is near the house or next to the house, it can lean on the house and catch it on fire, which can burn it to the ground or it can cause other damage to the house. If it is dry outside and the weeds, grass, and leaves are really dry and there is lightning, watch out because it can a huge fire if it hits the ground and it will spread fast, which can cause damage to your property. You need to have insurance on your house that covers lightning strikes so whatever damage it does will be covered.

Lightning can cause major injures, and it can kill someone. It can strike anywhere when it is warm outside so if you hear thunder, stay in your house because lightning will not be far behind it, and it can strike anything it can. Don't carry anything metal when there is lightning because it can hit you. Don't stand under a tree or near one for that fact because it is dangerous due to lightning also hitting trees. Never be in the water when there is a storm outside because when there is lightning, it is very dangerous for someone to be out on a boat, and it can send currents through the water.

When it hits a transformer, it will blow up and sparks will fly everywhere, people will lose their power, and lines will be laying and snapping all over. It will make that area very dangerous and that also will start trees and other things on fire. You need to turn off all the power in your house so it will not cause any damage, stay in your homes, and do not go outside until it stops. If lightning hits something and it leans on your house, it is also tears up your house by making it fall through the house or knocking down parts of your house. So just make sure you have insurance just in case it happen sto your home so you can get the damage repaired.
