First, I drink lots of water. I mean lots! Gallons! I am sure to drink at least 3 glasses of water as soon as I wake up!
Then I prepare a coffee. This helps greatly with metabolizing the alcohol from previous night. Also gives me a quick boost of energy and if youre like me, partying until late then having to go to work the next day then you really need that coffee.
Third, I eat crackers. Muffins, mild food and honey are good for hangovers, too. The secret with these foods is that they destroy the remaining alcohol in your blood and metabolize it faster from your body.
Combine these steps with a refreshing walk or jogging and you should be ready to go in no time. For me its 30 minutes!
Here are a few more tips to combat really bad hangovers:
Try to drink some water in between drinks. Water is like your number one ally against hangovers so be sure to drink plenty of it.
Dont overdo dark colored beverages as the darker color is reflecting the level of congeners.
Dont drink on an empty stomach. Try to eat something in between your drinking sessions.
