How I Found Help?

We hear these words, Lifes Journey. What do they really mean? To me, I believe that lifes journey consists of all the experiences I create from the choices I make in my life. These choices I make create new circumstances and new experiences that help me learn and give me wisdom, understanding and love. Within each experience is the truth I need to help me take the next step and get through the next experience and so on, teaching me how to live in harmony with life.

From some of the choices I have made in my life I created much hardship for myself. I will share with you an experience I had and how this experience helped me to understand the importance of my choices, and how God sent the tools and support I needed to help me get through it.

At a young age I moved to a country far away from the place where I was born. I knew nothing of this country, its people, its culture, or their beliefs. I never thought to ask before I embraced this experience. The first year was spent just trying to understand and learn the language and getting to know the people. I did not realize that the fact I was a foreigner, one who could not have children, was a huge taboo in this culture and for the family I had just joined. No one told me what to expect.

I found that there was much anger and resentment toward me, but I had no understanding of the cause of it. I would get angry back and would stand up for my principles, shouting angry negative words. This continued to the point I became emotionally ill, frustrated, sad and did I mention angry? Yeah!

I went looking for a therapist, but because there was a huge stigma toward psychology during that time in the country, I was not allowed to seek this modality of healing.

One night before going to bed I asked Divine Spirit to help me understand what I was doing wrong, and to give the answer without me having to figure out riddles or parables. I wanted it straight.

That night I had a very short, simple and powerful dream. I saw a huge billboard in the sky, so big I would never forget the sight of it. It said ZIP YOUR LIP signed Coach Harold.

This dream helped me to understand that a coach is not a therapist practicing psychology. I printed off some information on coaching and shared it with my family. They were happy about that and comfortable with my decision to seek the help of a life coach.

That day I started my search for a Life Coach. I found none in the country I lived, so I used the internet to look for one. It was one of the best choices I ever made in my life. Since then coaching is one of the main tools I use to help me find solutions to the hard experiences in my life. I am so very grateful for this gift, so much so I am now a life coach myself.
