Ireland's primary industries have been agriculture and tourism, as well as and by far the largest in recent times, construction and property.

Things are changing and have changed. The property boom of the last twenty years is over and its time to learn a new game.

The first thing to get your head around is that there's still a ton of money out there, and there always will be, its just that we need to get creative again, put together a plan and step boldly into an unknown future, and just make it happen.

Money responds to a good idea and those with the courage to act on good ideas will be rewarded for sure, possibly not on their first attempt, but persistence breeds success.

With Ireland's exceptionally well educated, English speaking work force it is a certainty that economic good times are ahead. We're a culture of triers, of doers. We have the ability to walk the walk and talk the talk, and it doesn't matter where you start from.

Have a look at some of the current generation of entrepreneurs. Guys who've risen to the top of the world in what they do. The list is endless.

Eddie Jordan of Formula One success, U2 possibly the most successful rock band of all time, Sir Tony O'Reilly media magnate, Denis O'Brien mobile phone and media magnate, JP McManus, John Magnier and Dermot Desmond the Three Musketeers of Irish business with large stakes in anything from Celtic or Man Utd to the celebrity des res Sandy Lane in Barbados, Michael O'Leary of Ryanair, the Smurfits paper and textiles empire, Bill Cullen of the Irish Apprentice, Pat "The Rainmaker" Slattery, Tom McNally and finally Empire Events Ireland.

Most of these people started with very little other than their ingenuity and determination, and they're now at the top of the ladder, not just in Ireland but worldwide.

So, to be concise you must decide what you want for your life. Just how full out are you prepared to play? You need to be committed to creating your future, and you must do whatever it takes to make it happen.

We see tremendous growth in Ireland in forward looking home businesses that either utilise or operate entirely on the internet. The internet opens your doors to a worldwide market, and not like your regular store that closes at 6 or 8 or whatever, the internet is open 24/7, whether you're there or not.

Its one of those money making machines that when you turn it on to begin with it will cost you a couple of quid, but as you become more proficient, get more of the right information, and start doing things in a consistent way, the money will begin to drip, trickle and then flow into your account.

The internet is most certainly a significant aspect of any future successful business and we urge you to come to grips with it as soon as you can to help develop your successful future.
