Both granite and marble found popularity since time immemorial. In earlier times, they were more in use for building construction, now a days, it has become limited to parts of home construction.

Natural stones are put into use in the form of slabs or tiles for floorings, countertops, staircases, barbeques, and others. Using natural stones makes the home comfortable, vibrant, elegant, and stylish because they are so unique.

The most striking advantage of natural stones is their capability to withstand the horrendous nature attacks. They are immobile to natural hazards. In other words, they are sturdy and strong. Some people mistook granite and marble to be expensive, something that only rich people can afford.

However, keep in mind the long-run use of the natural stones and suddenly, you do not find them to be such a gloomy proposition. They never run out of their natural color nor do they fade away. With little bit of maintenance, they prove to be cost effective for the future. Both the natural stones are more popular for use as kitchen countertops.

The granite countertops and the marble ones, though different in their composition, are similar in ways as to how they complete the look of the kitchen. Kitchens usually are the most attractive places in a household and how it has been decorated throws light on the persons character inhabiting the space.

In not only households, but commercial places also use granite and marble. No kitchen is complete without a modular kitchen set. They are easy to maintain and replace. Other than kitchen, there are the staircases leading up to the roofs. The marble products are molded to give the desired effects.

Similarly, with flooring, marble flooring is a huge hit with users as well as marble tiling. Now, questions arise whether granite or marble is better for use. Well, they both are good but there are some inherent differences. Granite comes second to diamond in strength and sturdiness. Granites can deal with cuttings and chipping. Granites are non-porous, which means that they are easy to clean.

On the other hand, marble is soft than granite and porous material. This means that marble needs to find replacement more often than granites. Which material you choose depends entirely on your prerogative. The cost of marble and granite depends on the quality of material you choose.

Surely, now you should be convinced that nothing can compete marble and granite in terms of home decorations.
