How Do I Burn Fat?

How Do I Burn Fat?

By:

I am fed up of being overweight. I see advertisements all the time telling me about new products which can help me to burn fat. To get that perfect body. My buttocks are too big, my stomach is paunchy and I just feel so slouchy. Do I have to adjust to this weight gain as I grow older? Why bother with it. Maybe I should just enjoy enjoy and live the life as it is.

I know that is how we all feel sometimes. Loosing weight can surely be a big challenge and there are many proven ways to loose it, but you have to find the way that works for you. You want to burn more calories and not have to eat less. Shape that body in to the hour glass figure. Well, there are really very few hour glass figures. We need to be realistic. Maybe our body is not tuned to be an hour glass.

We can loose the love handles, the flabby underarms, the belly can get a little flatter but it is virtually impossible to make it look like the washboard you see in the commercials.

A good start is go write down what you eat daily for about a week. Now don't leave out things you don't want others to see what you ate. Maintain this list in your own personal diary. You aren't vying with anyone else. It is good to have a diet/exercise partner but you don't have to share your secrets. Its fun to have someone to talk to and work out with and knowing you both have a similar goal is nice.

After analyzing the list of foods you eat over the week, you may notice some flaws. Along with what you eat, make a note of the time you ate it. Then you will be able to undermine the importance for a daily nutritious snack at a fixed time every day. It could be that your breakfast or lunch just isn't making it far enough to get to the next meal. That's when candy and pop machines come more into focus and the change comes out of the pocket. Its surely not a good habit. Keeping apples or grapes around for a mid break snack is a very good idea. Sometimes small cubes of cheese can help a lot too.

You need energy. This energy is provided to us by food. You should therefore never starve yourself. While working our, you are burning the foods and drinks you have consumed. If you don't burn these off, they get accumulated on your hips, belly or where ever else you are having a problem with weight. If you starve yourself, your body will start eating itself. Maybe you think this is a good thing, but it does not appeal to me at all.

When you eat less, you don't always loose weight because your body can adjust it's metabolic rate to use less energy and maintain the same amount of fat. Starving yourself over a very long period, will surely result in your losing weight. First you will loose the carbohydrates and glycogen. After that the fat under the skin will start melting away and then you will start losing the fat surrounding your organs. Next your muscles start loosing protein that breaks down into glucose so that your brain keeps working right. Other wise you may become unconscious. This is maybe where the first three letters of diet come from. You are killing your own body.

It would be a better idea to nourish your body taking food at proper timings along with a bit of exercise, instead of killing yourself. Do you know that walking burns a lot of calories? It is not at all necessary for you to work extremely hard or run a marathon to loose weight. Fat burning kicks in while doing a slow continuous pace or after 90 minutes. Walking is a good way to burn fat and tone the muscles simultaneously.

Its therefore the best time to check out what you are eating. Cut back on carbohydrates a little, and exercise daily.

If you have a dog, maybe taking it for a daily walk would be something that you both will find enjoyable. Plus a little more dependable of a partner than sometimes a friend or spouse may be. Did you ever see a dog turn down a walk.

Now let's get started on a new you.
