Tornadoes can cause many damages to homes, properties, roads, vehicles, and much more. It can rip up trees out of the ground, tear apart homes, businesses, it can cause explosions, and many other things. Every state can get tornadoes and it can damage hundreds to thousands of acres when it stays on the ground for a long enough amount of time and depending on the size of it. People lose their homes and everything they have due to the tornadoes. It can cause debris to go everywhere because the wind from a tornado is very strong. Tornadoes are well known when it comes to ripping an entire home right off of the foundation.

It can cause millions of dollars in damages and it can take months for people to repair damages or rebuild. When a tornado comes, it can bring high winds, hail, lightning, and many other dangerous things. Hail is a very good sign that there could be a tornado forming or in the area. Anyone of these can do a lot of damage on their own, but when combined with a tornado, and it can be very deadly. Did you know how high the wind can get? It can get up to 150 to over 200 miles an hour, which is very dangerous because it can pick up anything or move almost anything. A tornado this strong can throw mobile homes around like match sticks.

There are all different sizes of tornadoes and the bigger it is, the more area it will damage. But they all can cause destruction to some degree. It can take an entire town in the matter of minutes depending on how big it is and how long it lasts. Tornadoes can pick up a house and throw it through the air while it is still intact and it can still be together when it drops on the ground. Other times it will fall and be busted in pieces miles away. Miraculously, some people have lived after being thrown through the air by tornadoes.

Even when a home only sustains minor damage, it can be enough to allow in the heavy rainfall or hail that can accompany tornado and cause water damage. Tornadoes can also start fires in a home when power lines are ripped down live and touch on things that are flammable. Tornadoes are one of the most unpredictable forces of nature and the only warning you might get is the dark clouds you see coming your way. When you think dangerous tornado weather is coming, watch the news, listen to the radio, or listen for tornado sirens if there are any in your area. You might only have seconds to get to a safe place in the home, if there really is a place that can be considered safe from a tornado.
