How Binaural Beats Effect Brain Waves And What They Are

By:

Binaural beats are sounds that are created with the effect of altering your brain wave frequency. Listening to binaural beats can create different states of mind. They can create a meditative state, tune your chakras and even help induce sleep. These sounds are perfectly natural and safe, you cannot become addicted to them and we believe you will enjoy them. You can also listen to them as often as you want.

Scientist have known for some time that different frequencies are associated with different states of mind. 8Hz - 12Hz is the alpha frequency, this frequency is present in the brain when people are concentrating on something and it is natural flow, this is similar to a meditative state. People call this being in the "zone". When your brain is operating in this frequency range you are allowing information to flow. This is a great frequency range for studying or learning. Scientist have done extensive test and verified the different frequency ranges your brain operates in during different activities.

It was originally thought that we could just listen to that frequency range and we would go into that state of mind. The problem was the human ear can only hear between 20Hz and 20,000Hz. The alpha state 8Hz - 12H, just could not be heard and would not have an effect. Then came along German scientist H. W. Dove. Mr. dove discovered in the 1830's that you could play two different, but coherent sounds in each ear. By doing this he was able to produce a third frequency or binaural beat in the brain. As you could imagine, this was a huge break through. The way this third tone is created is rather simple math. If you played a sound of 350Hz in one ear and 360Hz in the other you would produce a brain frequency of 10Hz. 360 minus 350 equals 10.

After years of research and countless EEG's, scientist determined the different frequency ranges the brain operates in. The delta range is 1Hz - 3Hz which will produce lucid dreams, help boost your immune system and create a deep restful sleep. The theta range is 4Hz - 7Hz which is the meditative, relaxation, improved memory and focus frequency range. Next is the alpha state which is 8Hz - 12Hz, in this range the brain becomes a super learner with positive thinking and mild relaxation. The last frequency range is the beta range which is 13Hz - 25Hz. This frequency range is the normal waking state of the brain.

Extensive test have been conducted to determine how each frequency range helped with different problems. It was discovered that half an hour at 5Hz equaled about two hours sleep. Insomnia is known to diminish considerable if not completely stop with frequencies between 4Hz and 6Hz, then dropping down to 3.5Hz for half an hour. Speed learning happens at the 7Hz - 9Hz range.

As you can see binaural beats is a great technology that can be used to help with many different problems and conditions.
