How safe Are Safelists?

By:

Looking for a cost effective type of advertising? The Internet has a useful tool for entrepreneurs called Safelists. Safelist is a generic term for a group of people who submitted their e-mail addresses of their own accord to a Safelist proprietor in order to send to and receive e-mails from other affiliates of the said Safelist.

The difference of a safelist from spam is that the latter is unsolicited and is, therefore, considered as a junk e-mail. In a safelist, people opted to provide their e-mail addresses so all e-mails received will be considered as solicited and safe.

Easy as it is to join in, members also have the option of terminating their accounts, therefore, enabling them to receive e-mails.

There are a lot of Safelists available on the Web and are fleeting. New lists are launched daily and a lot of it closes as well which makes organization of Safelist group difficult to maintain, or time consuming.

Many offer free sign up and many require a reasonable charge for being a member. Some charge for a monthly, annual or a very small lifetime fee.

Safelists are advantageous in such a way that it gives an excellent investment return at a lower cost. Organizing a business enterprise online is cheaper as compared to running an actual one. However, business is business and for both online and actual businesses, risk is still involved. Being cautious is the only way to steer clear of business endangerment.

More often than not, promotional materials are needed to market a business and it costs a considerable amount of money. The Internet gives people the opportunity to publicize businesses for a lesser than normal price and it is an opportunity that should not be ignored.

Joining to a number of safelists and sending more e-mails to them are a lot better. Some of them only allow an advert every week, though a lot will permit more. A safelist may have at least 500 members, and at an average, adverts are sent out at a rate of 500,000 per week. Suffice is to say that safelists are effective in submitting ads to a massive audience.

One may think that advertising through e-zines create favorable results. It does do business good, but it does cost a lot. And spending too much on advertising is the least thing that entrepreneurs want to do.

A disadvantage that marketers might think of is that the e-mail inbox will be filled up. Upon joining, it is required to have only two e-mail accounts; one is where the owner and the safelist administrator will communicate, and the other is for the reception of the ads. It is required that the safelist members frequently log on to the Internet. Reason for this is because when the administrators mail bounces back, the consequence is that the submission of the ads will be blocked, and worse is the permanent deletion to the safelist.

Safelist members are not expected to be able to read all e-mails sent. On the other hand, members are just expected to control the amount of emails because when the messages bounce back, the same sanctions will be given.

Some e-mail boxes are designed for safelists purposes. There are tools that are excellent in managing the e-mails being sent because it automatically cleans the inbox during early mornings. The pirces will range depending on the quantity of e-mails the inbox will keep.
