The risks are genuine but serious problems are very improbable and these are comparable to problems you might encounter if you booked a more conventional holiday or even if you stayed at home! The rewards of house exchange holidays of course, far out-weigh the risks outlined above that are extremely cheap vacations, the comforts and facilities of a home, a more genuine experience of a site.
