Hotels With Pools Bring A Fresh New Perspective To Life's Most Difficult Moments

By:

My husband's grandfather passed away this past weekend and while most of the family members are in a state of mourning my nephew have done a great job of helping us to put things into a fresh new perspective. It turns out that as long as the family's caravan up to the funeral involves staying at Ottawa hotels with pools, all is well and good.

I don't know whether the rest of my husband's family would find the whole situation as humorous as we do, but my husband and I love to joke about how excited my nephews are for deaths in the family.

Every time someone dies they get to go on a vacation that includes swimming and usually a free breakfast. They're truly ecstatic for these fun-filled and exciting occasions.

Yesterday I was over at my sister-in-law's house and we were talking about how my husband and I were going to have to wake up at four in the morning to make it to the funeral in time because he has a class the night before that he can't miss.

My nephew immediately jumped in telling me that not only is he going on a vacation with his family, but they are going to be able to go swimming while they're on their trip too.

It's not like my nephews are excitedly awaiting the deaths of the rest of their family members. I definitely wouldn't be supportive of that. They just have a wonderful ability to move on and keep enjoying what life is to offer instead of letting the inevitable passing of those they love bring them down.

Not to show any disrespect for the dead, but I kind of think that my nephews have a great perspective on things. I think that when I pass away, I'll be happy to look down on my grandkids and great grandkids and see how happy they are spending quality time with their families. If my funeral is their excuse for this kind of joyous gathering, that will be all the better.

I'm sure that many people would disagree with my opinion on that topic. It could be that there are some people rolling in their graves right now as I'm typing up my thoughts on the situation. On the other hand, while I'm here writing and waiting for my husband to get home from school, my nephews are probably splashing around in the pool, and I have to admit that I'm a little jealous.

Thank goodness for Ottawa hotels with pools and God bless the children of our society who can lighten our burdens by bringing a fresh new perspective to a potentially difficult and painful situation.
