Calhoun Street Historic District called the "Gold dust Street" still has six homes built in the 1840s. There is the Museum of Florida History, which holds many artefacts and is very interesting. The Alfred B. Maclay State Garden holds park events and if you can see one of these they are well worth the effort. This park is really beautiful and the gardens are a must. The Mission San Luis de Apalachee was the capital of Spanish Florida from 1656 till 1704 and this is a great place to visit and see archaeological demonstrations and reconstructed buildings.

For some more history but this time from the 1900s there is the knott House Museum, which is a time capsule from that era. There is plenty of golf here and to name them all would be hard but just to start the ball rolling you have Players Club at Summerbrooke and Don Veller Seminole Golf Course and Club.
