Hot Perfume Releases For Fall 2009

As we roll past the zenith of summer, you might feel your love for summer perfumes dwindling. After all, there is only so much sugared fruit, aquatic character and tropical madness that one person can take. But endure a little more, and just before you know it the most anticipated perfumes for fall 2009 will be here.

Prada L'Eau Amber will be one of the first perfumes to hit the beauty counters this September. This perfume is the female version of the original Prada Amber Pour Homme. The original Amber Pour Homme is a soapy clean perfume that boasts sweet, soft notes of leather, neroli and tonka bean. Prada L'Eau Amber, on the other hand, sounds like a floral perfume. The main notes of this fragrance are citrus, rose, vanilla and patchouli. It seems Prada's Amber perfumes will be as different as night and day. Obviously Prada is not trying to go for a simple perfume revamp here. That's at least one unique perfume for the fall.

Alternatively Yves Saint Laurent simply revisits its most popular youthful perfume, YSL Elle. This fall, Yves Saint Laurent will release YSL Elle Shocking which promises to be a softer version of the original. While Elle Shocking recycles the same floral notes, it plays up some new notes of raspberry, musk, and patchouli. This perfume news should come as a relief to those who found the original perfume screeching with its intense dosage of sharp citrus, sweet florals and dry woods.

Kenzo also revamps a much-loved classic for the fall by taking Flower by Kenzo to a deeper level. Kenzo's newest perfume for the fall, Flower by Kenzo Essentielle, will be mix of rose, jasmine, vanilla and incense. Kenzo promises that this time, this floral perfume will actually smell distinctly floral unlike the abstract floral suggestion of Flower by Kenzo.

Over the past few months, Dolce & Gabbana has been creating loads perfume hype over their latest slew of perfumes called D&G Fragrance Anthology. The buzz first began with the release of their ad campaign: beautiful models of yesteryear turned out to pose nude for this new perfume line. All hype aside, the perfume range doesn't seem half-bad. Each perfume is a unique rendition on fresh, sweet, fruity, floral and woody notes. Even before their release, Naomi Campbell's L'Imperatrice (a bright fruity-floral perfume) and Noah Mills' L'Amoureux (a soft mix of spice and musk) are getting a lot of love. Expect these two perfumes to fly off the shelves this fall.

Marc Jacobs, after enjoying two successful years of Daisy, ventures again into floral territory. This time, Marc Jacobs steers far from the sweet, unadulterated character of Daisy, and plunges into something a little more sensual, flirty and fun. The perfume is aptly named Lola, and it will include notes of pear, grapefruit, vanilla, creamy musk and loads of florals. Attempting to top the cuteness of Daisy's bottle, Marc Jacobs creates a jewel-toned array of vinyl flowers to sit atop this perfume bottle. This perfume sounds like a perfect segue from summer fragrances to cool-weather perfumes.

From the looks of it, fall 2009 will offer great fragrant incentives for leaving behind your well-worn summer perfumes.
