Honda's Unmatched Success In Pakistan's Auto Market

By:

From the time of its debut in the Pakistani auto business around thirty years ago, Honda rapidly grew to the top and soon led the categories it was competing in. The Honda Accord and Honda Civic were the initial two models launched to the middle and high-end categories of the automotive business and offered much more in terms of class, luxury and quality compared to what other car makers were offering during that time.

When Honda was launched, the Pakistani vehicle business was predominantly controlled by Toyota, which had a few well-liked models like the Corona, Crown, Mark II and Corolla available for several consumer sectors. Other manufacturers like Nissan, Mazda and Suzuki had a tiny number of models as well but failed greatly in terms of loyalty and revenues. These makes had features that were commonly available in all cars in their genre and presented little in terms of extra benefits.

Following the acceptance of Honda in Pakistan, buyers could get hold of comfort and class at nearly the same rates. The Honda Accord and Honda Civic both had superior designs and a more unconventional appearance that were very different to the shapes on hand in the industry. Trims and features like extra powered windows and steering made these cars very enticing for all individuals who could afford them. Firms that once purchased Toyotas for their senior executives were now ready to procure Hondas.

Honda has continually been a far ahead of the competition in terms of appearances and engineering. Every model has seen additions in features and trims and superb design quality. The interior was roomier proving to be more convenient for driving on the highway and in urban centers. To provide for each of the commercial sectors while preserving Honda's quality and trendy image, Honda launched the City, with a smaller engine size similar to that of the lower end Corollas and initiated local manufacturing to make price control more manageable.

The outstanding performance and handling of the vehicles were far better.. The engines were magnificently engineered with excellent fuel usage, with each model giving the feel of a more spacious car than its class. Time showed Honda to be sturdy and nearly maintenance free aside from the basic oil change and fuel top up making them highly attractive used cars as well. Although to begin with the resale price of a Honda was lesser compared to that of a Toyota, the upsurge in demand of used Civics and Citys soon made prices jump substantially.

Time and time again Honda has inadvertently managed to turn out vehicles that are a far ahead of the competition. It's debut of a two-tiered interior control panel, large windshields, superior performing engines and superb designs have allowed Honda preserve it's leadership over the years. The detailed and sturdy manufacturing has made them the preferred choice for used car buyers. Even with the introduction of cars by numerous other makers, Honda it seems will not be giving up its dominant rank for decades to come.
