Homemade Beverages Worthy Of Any Specialty Shop

Are you putting your financial future in jeopardy just by drinking fancy coffee? I know it doesn't seem a lot when you stop and get just one Cafe Latte or one Fruit Smoothie on your way to work, but just start keeping track and see how much the total is at the end of a month. That's some serious change you've been throwing away on a luxury item. You're treating yourself well, but at what expense?

When you're buying expensive beverages, something has got to go. Since your family has probably decided that food won't be sacrificed, you've agreed to cut out the fancy coffee and smoothies. This is not something that can be squeezed out of your household budget. But, now everybody is pouting and it's not much fun.

Now, you and your family are feeling a bit pouty about not having their favorite beverages anymore. I know you all agreed and you'll stick with the plan, but are those long faces ever going to perk up? Is there something that can be done to lessen the pain of a sacrifice like this one where you give up a real, daily routine that is so pleasant?

Would it surprise you to find out that the answer to your sacrifice is found in your grandmother's cookbook? Once upon a time, our families were struggling to make every penny count, just like we're doing today. Back then, if you wanted a rich, creamy cup of coffee, you added some cream and maybe a little sugar and, if you were really going to be fancy, a dash of vanilla extract. It's time you brought those old-time homemade beverages back.

You don't have to try and invent recipes for homemade beverages. Although you may want to try your own simple drinks, there are many recipes for tried-and-true fancy concoctions that leave you satisfied and not missing your luxury drinks in the least. Many of these homemade luxury drinks use ingredients that you may already have on hand.

Getting started making your own homemade beverages is easy. You'll need to get your blender out from hiding, clean it up, and set it somewhere handy. Blenders are essential to all Smoothies, and some of the coffee and tea mixes, as well. These dry mixes often contain ingredients that just come out smoother when they're well blended. So, the blender is your new friend.

You'll find recipes for Fruit Smoothies and Slushies, which are usually blended with a combination of milk, and ice, or other liquids. They are ready to drink right out of the blender. Because I'm a fancy coffee and cocoa fanatic, I like the instant coffee and cocoa mixes that I can make. These mixes are kept in a sealed container and ready whenever you want to treat yourself to a fancy Swiss Mocha Coffee, a French Vanilla Coffee, or even some Chai Tea. Spoon a little of the mix into your favorite mug, and suddenly it doesn't seem like you're sacrificing anymore.

It's great to find inexpensive homemade beverage recipes, but are they good? The answer is a resounding YES! Because you're using ingredients like real cocoa, real lemon, and real tea in your beverages, you end up with a real taste! Your Hot Cocoa tastes like cocoa, your Honey Lemonade tastes like lemons and honey, and your Fruit Slushies taste like fruit. Every drink you make can also be a one-of-a-kind masterpiece because you control the ingredients.

Homemade luxury beverages is one way of treating ourselves without feeling the financial pinch quite so hard. You can enjoy the pleasure of pouring a cup of Mocha Espresso without the guilt of spending your hard-earned money. Treat yourself and your family to a little bit of fancy living.
