Home Security Cameras-why You Should Have At Least One

By:

It seems as the economy worsens home burglaries become more popular. Statistics show that on average one out of every six homes is burglarized every year. Police will tell you that 90 percent of all home burglaries can be prevented. Furthermore, 60 percent of all home burglaries occur through unlocked doors or windows.

Homeowners don't seem to go out of their way to make it hard for burglars to get into their homes. To me this is substantiated by the statistics. I mean just lock your doors and windows and you're way ahead of the game.

There other things you can do as well that are free. For example remove all hiding places near lower-level doors and windows, join or start a neighborhood watch-they are very effective and they are free. If you have some darkened areas around your house consider installing motion activated spotlights.

But the best way you can improve your home security is to install some home security cameras. A home security camera or security camera is the best protection you can get and they are not as expensive as they used to be either.

There are several dome style or bullet style cameras available for under $150.00 some at less than $100.00. But don't stop at getting one. You should have two or more-one for each doorway at least. That way you will have great coverage for your home with video cameras.

If you want to record those images you need some kind of recording device like a DVR or VCR. The USB DVR is the cheapest and is networkable too!

If you think for one minute that you are immune from burglary or home invasion, best to think again and just watch the evening news about your neighbors to see what is happening to them. Be proactive and get some home security cameras.

When are you getting one?

The uses for a home security cameras are endless. There are home, office and business applications. Undercover law enforcers and government agencies have been using them for years but now they are priced so low that anyone can get one. And easy to use? You bet.

A security camera can be an even better deterrent than a burglar alarm or a security guard. A camera can be used to identify the bad guys catching them red handed indoors or outdoors.

Can you use a home security camera for home, office or business? You actually can't afford to not have one!
