Home Internet Business - Fraud or True?

By: Azmi

There is nothing that excites us more then the idea of being our own boss. The adrenaline rush of being able to control when and how we work and not having to answer to anyone but ourselves. Most people will first attempt to run a business from home, an internet business. The bottom line though is, is a home internet business fraud or true? Is it possible to legitimately work from home on line and make money?

Internet home businesses come in many shapes and forms. Opportunities range from affiliate marketing to data entry work to having your own online franchise to multilevel marketing (MLM). There is enough information out there to make your head spin and wonder which one is the best one. That really is going to depend on you.

The best advice to offer you here is to try to get an idea of what each type of internet based home business is. There are gurus out there in every genre of internet business that will offer you help. Some will even mentor you for a set period of time in order to â€oeguarantee” your success. If you can get the help for free, by all means take that help. Don’t think that it isn’t valuable help if it is free. Some of the best advice I have ever gotten for my home based internet business didn’t cost me anything other then time and an open ear.

So let me give you an overview of a few home based internet businesses. All of which fall under the vague term of internet marketing.

1. Affiliate marketing â€" this is where you promote other people’s or business’s products. If the advertising that you are doing generates a sale then you make a commission. This business requires you to advertise the products, which can cost you money. There are free ways to do it such as creating a blog and advertising on it. Driving traffic to your website is sometimes a challenge. . Fraud or true business? True â€" there are people that really make good money with affiliate marketing. But most people will not.
2. Independent consulting/sales â€" this is similar to selling Avon or Tupperware. Instead of doing it door to door or with in house parties you do it online. The products that you can sell can be anything from health and beauty to perfume to candles to arts and crafts. The list goes on. Most companies, as part of the package will build you a website. More often then not, you will pay an upfront fee to buy into their business, just like with Avon or Tupperware. Fraud or true? True â€" you can make good money with this home based internet marketing business. Plus this one does not leave you tied to the internet. You can promote in person as well.
3. Online Franchises â€" these cost big money. They also have a wide range from cruises to brokers to secure ways to pay your bills. Unless you have a nice savings and are willing to risk the investment and you research the company and the likelihood success stay away from online franchises. So fraud or true? True â€" but incredible risky.

When you are looking at building a home internet business you definitely need to do your homework. Home internet businesses are for real but they are not easy. You will have to work your internet home based business in order for it to be a success.
