Home Care And Most Happening Issues In Elderly Care

Today As population is getting older and older because of thorough advancements in medical industry; there is a large community of elders who are suffering from health related concerns in their typical time. Medical advancements cannot do better for them after a limit. Elders have limited regenerative abilities and with ageing problems their body becomes more frail and prone to diseases, disorders, and syndromes.

There are certain issues which most of the elders in the world are facing right now and I am going to list all them in this article. We can divide issues of elders in two categories i.e. health related issues and care related issues in elderly care.

Health related issues:

Elders in their later stages loose most of the physical immunity and thats why they eventually lose their ability to fight with health disease. This effect the whole scenario as after then any health related problem will not go too easily either or the person will take too long time to recover. There are many health disease mentioned below through which almost every elder suffers in later stages of life;

Age-related Macular degeneration,
Cancer and osteoarthritis of knee,
Low back pain,
Alzheimer and dementia related issues,
Anxiety and depression related health issues,
Dyspepsia
Sleeping disorders
Parkinsonism,
Osteoporosis problem,
Heart stroke related problems.

These are specialized health problems. There are some common health problems which most of the elders face like partial blindness, weakness in teeth, Skin problems, hearing problems.

Care related Issues:

Care related issues are such which makes a great impact on the care receivers mind. In care related issues we can include following factors;

Abusing in nursing home and care homes known also as elder abuse,
Emotional ignorance of elders,
Physical abuse,
Violation of elders fundamental rights,

Malnutrition- This factor arises from irresponsible ness of the care giver who is giving care to an elder person and not paying enough attention towards the diet of elder person. Malnutrition is a situation which results generally from taking an unbalanced diet which lacks in certain nutrients. Some people cannot afford nutritious food on their budget though. Government should help them in this issue.

Ignorance from caregiver and family: another hot issue for elders is that they have to face ignorance from caregiver and from their family members too. Some People dont give enough respect, love and care to their elders. About caregiver, we can say that he is a person from outside your family we cannot expect from him to give same respect to your elder mom and dad as you should give them. Caregiver should also need to understand this that their little good behavior can make an elder happy for all day. if you will talk politely and treat them with care then they will be fully cooperate with you.
