Home Businesses live and die by numbers, and the number that is death to any home business (and is death to even non-home business owners) is the number 1.

What do I mean? Well, nothing can hurt you MORE than relying on one of anything. Like, for example, one job, or one income source/stream, or one customer that makes up most your sales. You probably heard about the risk of putting "all your eggs in one basket", right? And so on, and so forth.

Take the idea of having one job, for instance. If you only have one job to support you and your family and no other way of bringing generating income, and
that job is yanked out from under you, you're toast. One is DANGEROUS!

This is exactly why having a home business and generating streams of home business income is so important. Especially in today's volatile economy. The economy goes up and down like a roller coaster.

If you think having a job is truly "secure", I suggest that you think again.

Unfortunately, people are still programmed to think they have security if they have a "good job" when nothing could be further from the truth.

If you rely on a job and you lose that job, your income is gone, and your family is vulnerable. The worst part is that you will be forced to do whatever comes your way, and it will most likely be something that you HATE doing.

However, it doesn't have to be that way. If you have a job AND are working a home business and are generating home business income on the side, you aren't vulnerable. You can use the home business income to help weather the storm (or just take it full time and not even worry about a job).

So what's the bottom line? One is the most dangerous number in life, and this is especially true in business, even home business.
