Home Appliance Industry Strives To Seize The Intelligent Field

Up to now, the three major giants of the home appliance industry Haier, Gree and Midea have released the semi-annual report in 2011. The revenue of the three giants kick up overall. In contrast, Medial, compared with the two competitors of the industry Gree, Haier, two, has the largest business scale.

Of these three, Gree's performance has the fastest growth. At the same time, on the occasion of the rising costs of raw materials, in terms of the net profit level, compared with the other two, Gree is better.

The mid-year revenue of the three giants increases more than 50%. The semi-annual report shows that the revenues of Media in the first half are 62.037 billion yuan, an increase of 58.97%. Gree's operating income is 40.062 billion yuan, representing an increase of 60.52 percent over the same period of last year. Haier achieved an operating income of 37.995 billion yuan, an increase of 17.99%. The business profit is 2.254 billion yuan, an increase of 50.13%.

In the aspect of the net profit, the Gree maintains the highest growth rate and widened the gap with the other two giants. In the first half, Gree's net profit is 2.208 billion yuan, up 40.37% over the same period of the last year. Media's net profit is 1.969 billion yuan, up by 13.66%; Haier's net profit is 1.527 billion yuan, an increase of 19.14%.

In the increasingly competitive refrigerator market, the brand concentration is increasing. In the first half, the market share of Haier, Siemens, Media are 31.1%, 16.2%, 10.4% respectively. The market share of the three giants ranked the top three of the industry. The overall focus is nearly 60%.

The analysts of the industry say that compared with conventional electrical appliances, the rapid growth of the small appliance business such as the kitchen appliances, microwave ovens, electronic scales, ovens and steamers can bring rich profit for the business operations.

In the first half of 2011, the sales volume of China's home appliance market is 612.3 billion yuan, up 12.8% over last year. However, the growth rate of the overall market fell by 11.1 percentage points over the same period. This year the size of the appliance market is about 1.2 trillion yuan. The growth rate is about 10%.

It is widely believed that in the macro-policy adjustment, the industrial upgrading and restructuring of China's home appliance market is coming soon. The high-end product structure was evident.
