Ibiza is an island off the east coast of Spain that is a beautiful island and famous for the drink culture and disco that attracts many young travellers and tourists. If you are looking for a vacation to go dancing then Ibiza could be the place to go. If you are a party animal, why not try to Ibiza? There are of course plenty of areas though too if you are a family looking for a little adventure just stay clear of the more well known party areas of the island.
Barcelona has a lot to offer a wider range of people: a very cosmopolitan city and the capital of entertainment and finance of Spain. The benefits of having something in Barcelona are that you can do and see so much. If you're young it has a very lively bar scene at the beach clubs in the evening. If you are interested in culture in Barcelona there are dozens of great museums and attractions to visit. Such as Gaudi's architecture: the Segrada Familia being one of the more famous although unfinished pieces. If you like the beach life there is a beach in front of Barcelona and Sitges. If you love sports, there are a number of sporting events you can also try water sports. If you are interested in shopping there are some charming shops including a huge department store El Corte Ingles.
Alicante is also an interesting place to go for a week: much quieter and less busy than Barcelona but rather old-fashioned and a bit cheaper to spend time in. This is more of a community atmosphere and Alicante is also well served by budget airlines with its own airport. The marina is nice and the weather often tends to be more comfortable than the far south of Spain.
Santander is not the first thought of anyone thinking of a place to stay in Spain, especially with its location on the north coast of Spain. Santander is served with a ferry from the UK from Plymouth to Santander which provides the opportunity for you to see a different part of Spain culturally.
HOLIDAY IN SPAIN and there has to be time to visit Madrid, the interesting capital of Spain. There are still many things to be done including some wonderful galleries and museums especially the Golden Triangle and there can be no better place to try Spanish cuisine than in the capital.
