Historical Spain Is Thriving With Life

There are so many diverse things about Spain that have happened and are happening. The rich culture of this country is abundant and its dialects are intriguing. Although the official language, often referred to as "castellano" (or Castillian Spanish) is the most common version, there are also other versions spoken in many of Spain's other autonomous communities. Spain is known to its beloved people as Espana.

British immigrants seek the beautiful simplicity that Spain harbors as well as its distinct ways of life. Known globally as expats, these who have emigrated easily have converted their lifestyles and have been welcomed widely in many of the largest cities of Espana. In order of population, these include Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville and Zaragoza. In fact, Spain is split up into 17 regions and each region has a capital. They are:

If you are considering living in Spain, you must understand its systems and ways of life. Financially, the currency is the Euro. Previously, the money was in pesetas. Most Spaniards still use pesetas when they refer to large amounts of money they are dealing with. The Government is a monarchy and their King is Juan Carlos I. General Franco was the previous dictator who protected and guided Spain from 1939-1975. The heir to the throne is Felipe, who is married to a former TV newswoman.

They met while covering the Galician shipwreck of the Prestige. Though the term "presidente" might sound like the english word "president", Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is actually the Prime Minister- 'presidente' is short for 'presidente del gobierno' which translates into 'president of the government' and the ruling party is the PSOE, otherwise known as the Partido Socialista Obrero Espanol (which translates into 'The Spanish Socialist Worker Party.'

Bullfighting is one of the most well-known entertainment and sports venues in this country. Basketball, European soccer, biking and race car driving are other modern sports that are appreciated and honored. Art is also affluent as are music, singing and wine. Although Spain is famous for its red wine more than its white, the majority of its vineyards have white grapes. Sherry is another export of Espana that people all over the world enjoy.

Same-sex marriage is legal in this country as is nudity in certain places. The lovely beaches of Costa del Sol offer a naturalistic way to enjoy tanning, swimming, relaxing and being in touch with nature. Another beach that is more secluded is Costa Calida (which is in southern Spain.) Spain is a beach lovers paradise throughout the year.

El Gordo is the Spanish Christmas Lottery and has the biggest prize pool of any worldwide lottery there is. With all of these fabulous freedoms, it's no wonder why people choose to immigrate to Spain. Take a further investigation into how you could move to Spain!
