Hindsight's 20/20 When It Comes To Sat Prep In Atlanta

All across the country high school students are stressing about what kinds of scores they will be able to earn on the aptitude tests that colleges use to determine who is in and who is out. Students go about all different methods of SAT prep in Atlanta throughout the crucial high school years that will determine what they end up doing with their futures.For most students these methods of preparation entail a lot of studying. Some students purchase special books and online programs that have proven successful for countless numbers of students that have come before them. Some students make a special effort the week of their test to make sure that they are eating healthy and getting plenty of sleep.

I had a slightly different way of preparing for this test that had the power to determine what I would be doing with the rest of my life. Hindsight has taught me that I should have just followed the ways of all those students who took special care to be in the right state of mind when they took their tests.My dad was furious when I told him that I was planning on going to watch our high school's football game the night before I took the SAT. I had to report to the testing site really early the next morning, and he couldn't believe that I was planning on going to the game and then staying out late with friends.

In the end my dad gave in and let me go, but in the morning I realized that he was completely right in thinking that I should have stayed home. Even though I had managed to get a few hours of sleep, it felt like my alarm clock had started going off only a minute or so after I had slipped into bed.One of my friends and I carpooled to the testing site, and on the way there a catchy country song was playing on the radio. I don't know whether it was the lack of sleep or what, but for some reason for the next several hours it seemed like the only thing that I could think of was the first sentence of that song's chorus echoing in my head over and over again.

Even with catchy song lyrics reverberating in my head throughout the test I managed to get a good enough score to get into the college of my choice, but I definitely wouldn't recommend my particular method of SAT prep in Atlanta for anyone who is really serious about trying to get a high score on the test.
