These contain fiber prevents LDL cholesterol from being absorbed by the body. They also contain important antioxidants that fight free radicals which attack the cells in the body which is responsible for causing cardiovascular problems. Other important foods include olive oil, nuts, fish and sesame seeds.

Reducing your high cholesterol is very important to maintain a healthy lifestyle. If your LDL levels get out of control, this could cause serious health risks. By watching your diet, getting plenty of exercise and consulting with your doctor as to what types of treatments are available, you can significantly lower your LDL levels so that your good cholesterol can take over and you will not be at risk for certain diseases and illness.
