Becoming a physician assistant is a great decision, and in fact just about any career in the health care industry is worth going after considering health care jobs will always be high in demand. A graduate who has majored in science and has been doing so for two years straight is going to read in the CNNMoney magazine and realize that the health care profession of physician assistant is one Americas fastest growing jobs.

It has also been reported that this one of the second best jobs in America right now with an average salary of $80,000 and by the year 2016 it has been predicted that there will be a 27% increase in the number of men and women in this career than there are now. There are many people who know that being a PA is a great chance earn a good income, to help people who suffer on a regular basis, and there are also a lot of opportunities that come with this job which is definitely a huge bonus.

Its important that we all know where men and women who take on this career end up so that you know the likely direction you are going to end up in since you are leaning toward becoming a physician assistant. You also have to do this because youre going to want to stay focused on the right direction to take and so that you create goals that are similar to the ones that got other people into the physician assistant job. For example, much similar to other professions, aspiring PAs who are seeking their certification have to pass a multitude of different exams that need to have been accredited by the National Certifying Board of Physician Assistants otherwise they cant practice medicine whatsoever.

Youre going to find that it can be very stressful and hectic to be a PA on account of the fact that they take many exams and they have to take a re-certification exam every six years so that they remain knowledgeable of the job and anything new in medicine. So if becoming a physician assistant is what you want to do then youre going to need to be a very determined and patient person which are traits that are commonly found in men and women who work in the health care industry, especially physicians and other nurses. Im telling you, dont go after being a physician assistant if patience isnt something that is one of your virtues, but there is still a lot to experience in this career.
