Help.i'm Over 50 And Looking For Suitable Body Workouts For Men

By:

Now that you have reached 50 you may think there are no body workouts for men that you can do, you are maybe thinking of all the negatives such as:

Your metabolism is slowing down

You are carrying lots more weight than you are happy with

Your know that your recovery rate has declined

Your joints are getting stiff

You are not feeling or looking so great.

But just consider some of the positives, and then look at what you can do.

You now have the time - The children are grown, your career is settled.

You have resources - stable income, probably a local Gym nearby, access to information everywhere.

You have motivation - otherwise you probably would not be looking at this.

Your objectives are probably quite clear, lose weight, improve fitness and health, and firm up the body/improve your look

So is there a body workout that will give you these results?

There cannot be one specific activity that will give you these results, but there is a combination of activities which will certainly do so. Losing weight, gaining fitness and firming up muscle requires 3 basic actions, diet, cardio exercise and strength training.
At this age your metabolism has slowed and a slower metabolism means that the fat burning process isn't working to full capacity. It becomes important to eat well balanced meals and to combine that with a fat burning workout to build up your muscles.

Gaining muscle requires this combination of diet and exercising and if the diet is not right the exercise part is really a wasted effort.
Remember, proteins form an essential part of all your meals as they are needed for muscle growth which consumes calories. Fats, carbohydrates and vitamins and minerals are also equally essential, so make sure that your diet is properly balanced to include all of these.

The point is that Muscle growth is what increases your metabolic rate and as you start to burn more calories than you take in your fat levels will start to reduce.

Your bodybuilding workout routine should have a progressive overload built into it. This means that you must be lifting more weight, or doing more reps with the same weight. The reason is that the body adapts and has no need to grow as it has already adapted to what you are doing, so increase the work you do as soon as it starts to get easier.

Maintain this process until such time as you have reached your target levels and then continue at this level, varying the routine often to focus on other muscle groups. Always work your entire body, especially the legs. Your body will respond better and you will have better results, when you work all of it.

Basically,Push ups and Pull ups are really excellent when it comes to building muscle in the upper body. These two exercises stimulate nearly every muscle of the upper body and will quickly build strength and size.
Never forget to drink plenty of water. This will flush away toxins and keeps the muscles properly hydrated. A muscle that lacks water cannot grow fast.

It is important to rest between workouts ,if you don't, the muscles won't have time to grow. I you overdo it, you may suffer injury or strain and your routine will be interrupted and you will lose motivation. This is a future life commitment for good health, good looks, and a positive outlook.

A good body workout for men will give you muscle all over, over time, but not overnight.
