There could have been no trees without seeds. But in order for the tree to grow tall it must be a good seed. What I wanted to say is through small things, great things are brought to pass.

Healthy living is about decision making. It doesnt matter if the decisions are great or small. We should not force ourselves to do great things in just a split of seconds and indulge ourselves into an entirely new way of living. Some people try to do that and when they start to slip they decide to stop. They just cant do it at all! Remember, its ok to start small. Take line upon line; precept upon precept; here a little and there a little. The great thing about healthy lifestyle is that the more you see the results and feel the difference, the more you want to move on and continue choosing healthy decisions.

Take one step at a time. Move your feet. Take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator, play with your kids on the playground and not just watch them. Spend the morning walking instead of just laying on your bed. Have the walking habit.

Have Fun. Exercise doesnt have to be repetitive and too serious. Enroll in ballroom dancing, join dance clinics, tae bo or join the recreational activities at work or at school. You can also play or teach your friends how to play basketball or other sport. Have fun and enjoy yourself not noticing that you are already losing weight!
Have Fresh Food on the table. Fresh fruits, vegetables, fresh seafood and meat should not always be bought in the grocery store or a mall. Theyre just located everywhere. Choose wisely and fill your cart with fresh foods that comes fresh from the farm instead of processed ones, that comes with a lot of sugar and salt and other things that you cant pronounce.

Have healthy, great taste. You can always experiment with enhancing the flavors of your food. Instead of using sauces, dressing and etc., use Garlic, vinegar, lemon juice, chili peppers without adding fat and sugar. Choose lean cuts of meat and avoid skin and fats. You can cook without fat. Choose natural flavoring and save yourself from fats and calories that you are trying to cut down. Slim down on foods that would make you fitter, slimmer and healthier. Why settle from anything less?

You'll find your own little tricks and tips, big and small. Dont be depressed on your failures. Be happy in your own little successes and continue to improve more.
